My name is Kathleen and I work at Save the ...Hello

My name is Kathleen and I work at Save the Children.

I see you are a keen knitter, and wondered if you might be interested in attending a special event we are holding next Thursday.

it is being hosted by the one and only Debbie Bliss, on Thursday 22nd November in Primrose Hill. We would be delighted if you could attend.

We want you to help launch our first ever Christmas Jumper Day with sparkle. On December 14th, over 150,000 people, from celebrities to children, will wear a winter woolly and make a £1 donation to our life-saving work. More information can be found here.

With her own line of over 25 knitting yarns and more than 30 knitting books, this will be an exclusive opportunity to meet, chat and pick up tips from Debbie Bliss, a veteran in her craft. If that’s not enough incentive, this event will also be a great chance to get into the Christmas spirit, with festive snacks and mince pies aplenty - and, of course, some hearty mulled wine!

We’re really keen to feature any blog posts on our twitter feed, which is @savechildrenuk, and on our special Christmas Jumper Day Facebook page so do let us know if you’ve written about it. The hashtag we’re using is #xmasjumperday and our Facebook page is: http://www.facebook.com/ChristmasJumperDay

By this point, I’m sure you’re wondering what you’ll actually be knitting … it’s a Christmas surprise! But, if you’re interested in knitting a full Christmas jumper in the meantime we’ve got some patterns available on our Ravelry page:
- A reindeer jumper for children
- A Rudolph jumper for adults
- A snowflake jumper for adults

For more information about the event, including the venue and times, please see below:

Venue
Mary's Living and Giving Shop for Save the Children
109 Regents Park Road
Primrose Hill
London NW1 8UR
Phone: 0207 586 9966

Click here for additional information on this boutique shop.

Event
Held on Thursday 22nd November
Runs from 6:30pm-9pm.
A ‘Make and Take’ event; everyone will be able to take at least one item home!
Yarn will be provided but we ask that you please bring your own needles.

Hosted by Debbie Bliss: http://www.debbieblissonline.com/

Please RSVP by Thursday 15th November to myself at k.prior@savethechildren.org.uk

Many thanks,

Kathleen Prior

• Save the Children is asking you to donate just £1 to wear a festive jumper on 14 December or alternatively, knit or donate a jumper to Save the Children to help raise money for their life-saving work
• For more information visit www.savethechildren.org.uk/jumpers and/or www.facebook.com/ChristmasJumperDay and follow us on @xmasjumpers

Kathleen Priornoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4188100893863130007.post-68466969106975119442012-11-13T08:35:21.831+00:002012-11-13T08:35:21.831+00:00Just looked up 'scoff' in reference to eat...Just looked up 'scoff' in reference to eating and it would seem your not so 'silly' thought is right! The Broadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04976467218216864644noreply@blogger.com
