Wow PT will soon be 80 years young:) It's been over 30 years since I have knitted. My sister knitted me a bag and put inside wool, needles and various other items. This was for Christmas 2009. I still haven't used it. It is on my to do list for 2011:)Manchester Lass, Now and Thenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04946068658998389838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4188100893863130007.post-58794863906490624792011-03-03T18:48:48.175+00:002011-03-03T18:48:48.175+00:00Using a circular needle? The rib seems quite stretchy and the sock is small in diameter. I have thin legs so hope they will be ok, if not will give them to daughter who has larger bones.

It will be 19 cms from top to heel shaping so not too long so will have to wait and see.

For the toes I will be learning Kitchener stitch, a kind of grafting, think it is sewing the stitches together rather than casting off and then joining them in a bulky seam.

Will be enlisting help from members of knitting group, from my books and of course there's information online.

Thanks for reading and commenting on my blog.PixieMumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14717092173188052675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4188100893863130007.post-69767067737093252952011-03-03T09:15:41.068+00:002011-03-03T09:15:41.068+00:00I'm so tempted to ask questions about how they...I'm so tempted to ask questions about how they're kept up - is ribbing enough or is some elastic incorporated, and about the finishing at the toes so as to have smooth seams, but as I'm never likely to try making socks, this is idle curiosity, so feel free to ignore me!Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00822383355869390919noreply@blogger.com
